Authentication
How Barvinca connects to your Autodesk account and customer ACC/BIM 360 account.
3-Legged OAuth (User Authentication)
When you sign in with your Autodesk account, Barvinca receives a token that acts on your behalf. This establishes your session and account context.
The current Marketplace launch uses the Autodesk sign-in flow plus Barvinca's authorized app-level access for Bulk User Manager.
Your session expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. You'll be redirected to sign in again if it expires.
2-Legged OAuth (App Authentication)
Bulk User Manager needs account-level access that goes beyond your personal session. Listing users and running admin operations use Barvinca's APS app after your Account Admin authorizes its Client ID as a Custom Integration.
For the practical first-run checklist, use the Setup Guide.
To set this up:
- Open Profile and copy the Barvinca APS Client ID: u1c753JAoD7qgeoHR158KcQIHhNMGpr5GaNYpBgw8iHBJdwA
- In ACC/BIM 360 Account Admin, add a Custom Integration and paste that Client ID
- Grant Account Administration permission for Bulk User Manager
- Return to Profile and run the test when available
Do not create a customer APS app or provide a Client Secret for normal Marketplace setup. Barvinca keeps its app secret server-side.
Required Scopes
- Bulk User Manager — Account Administration permission through the ACC/BIM 360 Custom Integration.
Troubleshooting
- 403 Forbidden — Barvinca's Client ID is not authorized in the target ACC/BIM 360 account, Account Administration permission is missing, or the signed-in user is not allowed to access that account.
- 401 Unauthorized — Your session expired. Sign in again.
- Credentials validation failed — This only applies to an advanced support-only override. Normal Marketplace users should contact support instead of entering APS secrets.
- No data appears — Make sure Barvinca's Client ID has been added to your ACC/BIM 360 account as a Custom Integration.
